  6. When i'm really busy,if can,i'll try to ask the clients daughter's assisstance in caring for her mother.

    1.If you are entering a room with someone who is visually impaired, describe the room layout, other people who are in the room, and what is happening;
    2.Tell the person if you are leaving. Let him/her know if others will remain in the room or if he/she will be alone;
    Use whatever vision remains;
    3.Allow the person to take your arm for guidance;
    4.When you speak, let the person know whom you are addressing;
    5.Ask how you may help: increasing the light, reading the menu, describing where things are, or in some other way;
    6.Call out the person’s name before touching. Touching lets a person know that you are listening;
    7.Treat him/her like a sighted person as much as possible;
    8.Explain what you are doing as you are doing it, for example, looking for something or putting the wheelchair away;
    9.Describe walks in routine places. Use sound and smell clues;
    10.Encourage familiarity and independence whenever possible.

  9. Yes,i will ask her daughter to help me communicate with her mother maybe her mother can't speak in other languages except mandarin.I will identify myself by name and will knock the door before entering and will tell the client before leaving the room. i also must maintain normal speaking voice with this client because her hearing still good. Explain the machine sounds to her to make sure the clients not worry about it.
